In June, our group reviewed 15 different children’s books focusing on activists and activism, from social equality to women’s rights

Our Dear Olive topic this time is about boundaries in personal space, including invisible ones like perfumes, and creating inclusive spaces

This month’s book, Peaceful Fights for Equal Rights, is by Rob Sanders and illustrated by Jared Andrew Schorr

Rev. James M. Lawson, Jr. passed away recently on June 9th, at the age of 95. He was known for his activism in non-violence and social change.

This July we celebrate days for Canada and the US, as well as the birth of Ida B. Wells, and the activism of Nelson Mandela and W.E.B. Dubois
