Build Community

P.E.A.C.E. believes that parents, teachers, and educators are best supported within a community dedicated to the development of the whole child. We can help each child build positive relationships at every level, from family and school to community, nation, and world. Every child should be given a sense of their home and community as a place within these wider contexts. It does take a village to raise a child, and in helping each other we are creating a peaceful world.

Reduce Poverty: Far too many American children: over 16 million, about 1/5 of all children, more than in any other developed country, live in deep poverty, without sufficient resources to be sure of food, lodging, or child care. Poverty and what comes with it have devastating effects on these children’s prospects and their ability to participate in and contribute to a just community

Promote Humane Immigration and Criminal Justice Policies

We work toward creating a just and compassionate community that welcomes children and families seeking shelter from harm. Current immigration practices and criminal justice practices abuse children and their rights, hurt the affected children, and undermine social justice.

Live and Consume for Sustainability

There are many global environmental issues. We believe that as an organization and as individuals we need to leave the Earth better than it was for the future of children. So we want educators to prioritize and value nature and the environment.
