Congress has passed, and the President has signed this year’s federal government budget, including significant increases in programs affecting child care and early childhood health. If your Senators and Representatives supported those increases, please thank them, and ask for additional increases in next year’s budget, so that qualified providers can afford to stay in their jobs, and parents can afford high quality education for their children which includes developmentally appropriate care and helping them get along with each other and the world at large.
lso, please monitor and convince your state’s legislators and government officials to pass on the federal increases to local authorities and providers quickly and with a minimum of fuss, so that child care quality can improve.
