Congress Still Needs to Hear from You About Child Care Financing
Although the Government is about to shut down until Congress and the President decide that it needs to reopen, one of the first things it has to do thereafter is to decide on the FY26 Budget, including child care financing. Whether or not you have communicated with your Senators and Representatives before on these issues, please impress on them the urgent need to put more money into financing and promoting high quality child care, especially in child care deserts, so that parents can go back to economy-building jobs and their children can have a better chance at succeeding in life. Head Start funding needs increases too.
