Lobby Your Senators and Representatives!
Congress left Washington for their annual vacations and campaigns at home. Now you have a great opportunity to connect with them and their staff in their local offices when they’re not otherwise preoccupied. Please do so.
Give them the vital message that America’s future depends on their constituents’ young children getting the care and education they need, and their parents the ability to hold their jobs with adequate child care, both of which depend on more money from the Feds. Soon after Congress returns to DC, it will be making vital decisions about where our tax money will go, including child care and the child care tax credit.
Give them your message, including the stories from parents you meet who need or get good child care. Tell them we all will be watching the way they vote on these issues, and that we’ll be ready to let their constituents know how they voted before the November election. Thank you!
