🕗 A bipartisan group of lawmakers led by Reps. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) and Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR), along with Senators Todd Young (R-IN) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) have introduced the After Hours Child Care Act, which would improve access to affordable child care for families with parents working nontraditional hours.

🤝 The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee recently convened a hearing focused on child care access and affordability in light of recent discussions concerning program oversight. There was strong agreement on both sides of the aisle that federal support for child care programs is essential for eligible families.

📢 Prioritizing federal child care programs is one of the most direct ways to make life more affordable for parents with young children. Take a moment today to urge your Members of Congress to make life affordable for families with young children by supporting federal child care programs!

We are excited to see such positive bipartisan momentum for child care on Capitol Hill. Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks as Congress makes BIG decisions about the future of child care.
