Congratulations Indigenous Visioning!
Preserving the traditions of your past for future generations
We thank you for coming so far to share the work you are doing for the children, parents and members of your communities. We have much to learn and realize that the young people you teach do too.
As founders of Indigenous Visioning, you are creating a model for other tribal groups, and for teachers everywhere in our schools. Your grassroots efforts engage partnerships which strengthen leaders and communities from a cultural base and promote the importance of language and cultural teachings.
Needed changes will come to the policies affecting tribal nations in state and national laws through culturally relevant solutions led by tribal communities. We salute your thoughtful advocacy and look forward to spreading your message among the educators of young children with whom we work.
This award was given at the NAEYC Conference, Washington, D.C. Nov. 18, 2022
