2022 PEACE Award — Hannah Thompson

Congratulations Hannah Thompson!

An extraordinary worker for peace and P.E.A.C.E.

Since joining P.E.A.C.E. a few short years ago, Hannah’s commitment and skills have become a mainstay for all our work. The list of responsibilities she has undertaken is long!

It starts with managing the data for our membership records. Then she became a director on the Executive Committee and contributed to planning the NAEYC Conference participation, especially with her skills in PowerPoint design.

Since P.E.A.C.E. hired its first Media Intern Hannah has mentored her as the scope of her work has developed. Together Hannah and the intern are helping P.E.A.C.E. connect to the next generation of peace activists and giving us a presence in the social media sphere.

Hannah juggles all this while pursuing a PHD and continuing her devotion to young children with research on toddlers and infants in the classroom. In this time when meeting in person hasn’t been possible, we at P.E.A.C.E. have gotten to know Hannah and her commitment by way of Zoom.

We look forward to the future together, and trust that she can feel our gratitude reaching out from far and wide. We thank you!

This award was given at the NAEYC Conference, Washington, D.C. Nov. 18, 2022
