Our meeting in Nashville had a good attendance, both in person and virtually. We were happy to see everyone and hear about your connection to the interest forum and P.E.A.C.E.

Everyone was invited to join the Peace Educator’s Interest Forum and also to participate in discussions with people nationwide on the Hello platform. The P.E.A.C.E. meeting began with a review of two projects. Jessica McLeod reviewed an intergenerational project between preschool children and senior citizens. Donna Satterlee reviewed a study about teaching toddlers to sign to stop unwanted behaviors by their peers.

Peace Awards were presented to Angela Davis, who edits our P.E.A.C.E. newsletter each month and to Barbara Cooper, who stood up for the use of the publication Developmentally Appropriate Practice, in Alabama. Angela joined us on Zoom and Barbara, as a member of the NAEYC Board, was able to join us in person.

Everyone was invited to participate in the Children’s Literature Book Club on December 2. All those who agreed to serve on the PEACE Council and on the Executive Committee for another year were voted in. Members were invited to participate on the following committees: Newsletter, Finance, Website, Retreat, Advisory, Children’s Book Club, Peace Projects, Public Policy, Conference Proposals, Video Production, Social Media. All members were encouraged to join a committee! If you have questions, you can send an email to 1peaceeducators@gmail.com.
