Please share with any middle and high school educators in your networks about this conference on nuclear disarmament education, co-organized by the Ikeda Center for Peace, Learning, and Dialogue, the Soka Institute for Global Solutions, the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, and EdEthics at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The conference, titled “Educating for Peace: A Teachers’ Conference for Nuclear Disarmament Education” will take place at the Ikeda Center in Cambridge, MA, during the weekend of May 10th/11th, with a public event being hosted at the Harvard Graduate School of Education on the evening of Friday, May 9th.

The weekend-long conference seeks to bring together and empower middle and high school teachers and educators to explore effective ways to teach students about the threats and historical legacies of nuclear weapons and instill in them a deep sense of shared responsibility and commitment to safeguarding the future of humanity’s peaceful existence.

PDPs can be provided to Massachusetts-based teachers upon completion of the conference.
