We Still Need a FY2027 Budget from Congress
Congress still hasn’t passed the FY27 Budget, which does promise some more money for child care and support for early childhood professionals, though not enough. Please keep after your Senators and Representatives, and their opponents in the primary and general elections, to do better for the young children of America and those who care for them.
Another initiative warrants your attention. The Child Care Modernization Act: It would expand access to affordable, quality child care while giving States greater flexibility to address the unique needs of their communities. It includes targeted investments to increase child care supply and capacity and support child care providers, and it helps improve access for working families struggling with the high cost of care.
