Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, recognizes the history, culture, and achievements of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Hispanic communities have influenced the development of the United States for centuries and continue to make important contributions in areas such as business, education, science, the arts, and public service. Today, Latinos represent a significant and growing part of the U.S. population, enriching the nation’s cultural and economic landscape.

September 26 — Full Corn Moon
September’s full moon is often called the Corn Moon because it coincides with the period when many crops are harvested as summer comes to an end. During this time, the moon rises earlier and appears especially bright, providing additional light that historically helped farmers continue their work after sunset. It is also known as the Barley Moon and, when it occurs closest to the autumnal equinox, it may be referred to as the Harvest Moon.
