On June 22nd, we had our book club meeting via Zoom as well as in person, during our retreat in Auburn. Several great children’s books highlighting economic diversity and working class jobs were shared. Listed below you will find some of the books we shared.

- Click Clack Moo by Doreen Cronin: concept of union and protest explained for a younger age group.
- Side by Side/ Lado A Lado by Monica Brown: story about Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta.
- Paula’s Patches by Gabriella Aldeman: about a young girl who receives hand me down clothes. She creates fun patches for her clothing and for other children who have stains, holes, etc. on their clothes.
- The One with the Scraggly Beard by Elizabeth Withey: a child who inquires about a homeless man’s life.
