Next month we hope to present to you an opportunity to vote on a decision we made at our annual retreat in Newton, MA, to change from an unincorporated association to a corporation, so that we can get our own status as a not-for-profit entity, exempt from income taxes and eligible for tax-deductible donations. Up to now, we have been a “Project” of another tax-exempt entity, the Survival Education Fund, but it is planning to move on to other pursuits, and we want to keep our nonprofit status.
